Beryllium Copper is composed of 1.9 to 4.50% Beryllium, and .25% of Copper + Nickel.
- (+) High thermoconductivity
- (+) Good wear resistance
- (+) Good corrosion resistance
- (+) Good machinability
- (+) Good weldability
- (+) Good polishability
Beryllium copper is used in applications where very high thermoconductivity is required. Specialty materials are used many times in other processes besides injection molding because of the unique properties offered by these materials.
