Mold cavity steels need some different properties in some cases than mold base materials. The things to look for are–
- Machinability
- Hardness
- Polishability
- Heat Treatability
- Corrosion Resistance
- Abrasion Resistance
In order to get these properties there will be different elements added to the steel to obtain them.
