Description:
The sprue puller pin is a larger pin located directly opposite the sprue. Its main function is to assure removal of the sprue during the mold opening step. During ejection the puller clears (traverses forward) and retracts with the rest of the ejector mechanism.
Location:
Directly opposite the sprue on the “B” side of the mold. The sprue puller pin is installed into the mold the same way ejector pins are. It is designated the same way ejector pins are (a ring with a cross blackened inside).
