Blade ejectors are usually modified to suit each particular application. They are manufactured in a variety of methods such as:
- Machined from a solid to the desired shape and hardened.
- Ground to shape from a through-hardened pin.
- Fastened or brazed to a slotted pin.
Tight tolerances must be maintained to prevent the plastic from flashing past the blade ejector into the mold base.
