Ejector sleeves are precision made of thermal shock-resisting hot work die steel. The heads are hot forged for uniform grain flow to obtain high tensile strength. The outside diameter is nitrided to a hardness of 65-74 Rc and finished to minimize wear. The inside bearing diameter is finished, reamed, and honed concentric with the O.D. of the sleeve. The lead-in taper aids entry of the ejector sleeve around the fixed core pin.
