As soon as the piece has been in the acid bath for the calculated time, it is immediately immersed in a neutralizing solution to stop the burning process. Once the acid has been neutralized, the part is dried and the masking material is removed. A second visual inspection is done at this point to check the consistency of the pattern and pattern depth.
