Often drawings or portions of drawings are not to the original scale as stated in the title block. This occurs when a draftsman makes an error on the print, or more often, when a portion of the print is changed after it has been drawn once.
These scale mistakes can lead to a misunderstanding of what is being conveyed by the print, and can also cause a mistake in mold size selection.
