Description:
This is a threaded hole in the side of the mold to allow for eye bolt insertion. The eye bolt allows either the complete mold or any mold component to be handled by an overhead crane or a fork truck.
Location:
Typically as close to the mass center of the mold or a plate as possible. Often eyebolt holes are put in two adjacent sides to guarantee that the mold can be placed in and removed from the machine
