INCORRECT DIMENSIONS (DOUBLE DIMENSIONING/ RELATED DIMENSION NOT IN CENTRAL LOCATION/ TOLERANCE INCORRECT)
As mentioned previously, dimensioning is critical to the success of a product. When products are complex, the designer can often double dimension (which refers to a position with two different dimensions) or become inconsistent with the dimensioning technique (where he has them on all sides of the item being referenced).
It is important to identify this error early in the process to avoid costly time consuming corrections.
