A problem area in three-plate mold operation can be a sticking runner system that prevents automatic operation. The DME Jiffy-Jector is used for positive runner ejection from three-plate molds. The pneumatically controlled and operated device moves the runner system away from the X-1 plate and then, by means of a short positive stroke and a blast of compressed air, the runner system is ejected out of the mold.

The animation explains the actuation sequence of the DME Jiffy-Jector. Proper operation requires a clear, unobstructed path out of the mold for the runner system. It is adaptable to most three-plate molds and can be designed into new molds or retro-fitted into existing molds.
