Mold Cooling – Cooling Components – Pressure Plugs

Pressure plugs are designed to stop or control coolant flow in channels. The tapered thread style provides a seal by a deliberate difference of taper between the plug and the tapped hole. A hex socket head is used for tightening. The headless style plug employs an expandable O-ring sealer controlled by turning a hex wrench in the socket of the plug.
