Mold Cooling In The Plastic Injection Molding Industry

After the hot plastic resin enters the mold it must be cooled rapidly. Cooling allows the molded part to retain its desired shape when it is removed from the mold. If cooling is not provided the hot plastic resin will naturally heat the mold steel to a point where cooling to a solid part form will not be achieved. Mold temperature is extremely important, because it governs a portion of the overall cooling cycle. There are several ways that mold cooling takes place.
