Plate”X” Plate and Floating Plate “Stripper”
The stripper plate is an ejector mechanism used to assist in part removal. This plate is fastened to the ejector return pins and actuated conventionally. The plate thickness is defined by the force required to remove the part. The cavity profile must be accurately machined into the stripper plate to avoid excessive tool wear and allow the stripper plate to “nest” well when it is retracted.
