How Is Sulfur Used In Steel Alloys?


Sulfur is a pale yellow non-metallic element occurring widely in nature. It is used in black gunpowder, rubber vulcanization, insecticides, and pharmaceuticals.

Effect of Sulfur in steel alloys
Sulfur use in steel alloys is limited to use with low carbon steels to aid in the machinability of the steel material.
